No matter what, keep your spirits up. Yes, you are not alone. My mother had her challenges with my father. He was 93 years old when he passed. To this day, she tells me he would have lived longer if he had listened to me. He fell and hit his head against the car, but he initially refused to go to the Doctor. And he had a concussion. The best thing about their relationship is that they loved each other. That's why I believe it is essential to focus on the love you share with each other.

I would like to wish Jim an early Happy Birthday...It is nice we are here to support one another. My mother was told when she was young that she needed to get her tonsils out - they were rotted. Years later, she has them and has been fine.,

Kabu......
.....No matter how kind and gentle, loving, helpful, understanding, strong, willing wife is, she cannot make a grumpy, strong-willed man man better or different. He has to want to do that himself. Just be assured that he really does appreciate all the things you do for him. It's just not in him to express it.

You are fighting a daily battle to keep your partner going - it would be so sweet if you had a buddy nearby who could meet you for a nice cup of tea now and then -- girl talk, jokes, a bit of understanding and maybe some shopping therapy. ☕

Falling over is the prime worry. I wear a couple of pads inside pants hopefully they would save a lot of aggro if one did stumble. Nothing ever goes how we think it should. I know it is not much help but I think women hack it much better than men eventually.
I will come back and write more, but you know how it is.so many things to work through. I just have to make time to find how you are making out. Sadly as my sister who is ninety nearly, says all her friends have gone and she looks after her husband who hardly moves from his chair. But for all that I still think of you as the little blonde who I met on Blogit. 🌺🌺

The poor guy. I had issues with swallowing a few years ago. I was prescribed Pantoprazole, aka Prilosec, and it has helped immensely. My hubby developed the same issue, and it works for him, too.
