Uh, oh. Not good, but at least you were proactive about getting treated ASAP, and now you will be right as rain in no time. My middle daughter used to get strep throat when we stayed in hotels during the summer and ran the air-conditioning in the room. Our physician said it happens when ACs have dirty filters or if you come into contact with a contagious person. The odd part is that none of us ever got strep throat. Only her. 
Anyway, hope you feel better.

We all feel the same at times but I think it is the dry pollen filled air. Hope you feel better soon.
