I don't have any indoor animals, but my three daughters have cats. I have learned that they are the boss. The fur babies recognize us when we come to visit, and they give us plenty of attention. Once we retire, I will more than likely get an indoor companion, but for now, we travel too much.Â

I have the same issues. But my bosses are women. My dog, Neka, and my wife, Melody, are both very demanding personalities. You said it perfectly, the only reason we put up with it is Love. But they give as good as they get.

A good sleep makes all the difference! Cats seem to understand this only in regards to themselves!Â

Re: Priceless story and I loved it. Cats are as much fun as dogs.

I used to have a guard cat. Maybe I'll post Miss Kitty's story here one day soon. She was keeping me company one Saturday morning as I did some pruning to a snowball bush in the front yard. The neighbor's cocker spaniel spotted me from across the street and came bouncing across to greet me, but Katt didn't ok it. As his feet touched the edge of our lawn, the cat yowled and leapt, ending up on the dog's back. She rode him all the way back across the street, whining and howling, and at the edge of his yard, she daintily jumped down and came parading back to our side of the street, her tail waving like a triumphant flag. I still laugh to myself when I think of it. She was a 3-color cat, kind of tuxedo style, who was rescued by my little six-year-old daughter, and remained with me after Robin left for college.
