You are a dear friend whom we all love. 
Cats are like that. They are bossy, and they pick their favorite humans. My three daughters all have cats. Unfortunately, I am allergic to them. I stick to short visits with them, but they always greet their Grammy when I come to see them.

I'm so glad you're taking care of yourself. It is a lesson I am also trying to learn. Then I remember it is not selfish to take care of yourself. Because you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself. Your advice is always encouraging, honest, and appreciated.

Nice to have the gardens in bloom again. And there are flowering trees around this town, too - one bypass street was built through a wooded area, and alongside this is a walking-biking trail where the railroad once ran. It's now a peaceful drive between what seems to be rows of woodlands, and I try to go that way so as to avoid the congestion on the main drag. It is lucky that you've been chosen to be that kitty's human. He seems to be a benign boss most of the time. 😻
