Ah the art of listening, such an important thing that most nurses learn how to do. Drs. seem to be too busy for real periods of listening and I found so many times just a few more moments even if it meant getting home later, was really worth while.

Thank you for "not being here" yesterday. You were where you needed to be doing what you needed to do. And your advice about dealing with someone in such a desperate situation is absolutely helpful. Peace.

Thank you. One of my best friends in highschool became a minister. He was the one who married Lisa and me in 2020. 

He has told me that he wishes he could learn to handle people in emotional distress as well as I do. He was the minister I had  go see this woman  We talked again last night about the situation. 

I've been blessed with several special gifts, and talking to people who need an ear has been one of the biggest gifts in my life.

This is a wonderful post.  I'm almost 88 (two more month's) and you would not believe how much suicide of people I have known and loved has effected my life and in so many ways.   Keep up the good work.
