Those were the days. So few people these days have farm experiences. I think that around only 2% of America are farmers.

I suppose the past always seems better in a way. It probably was, We were poorer but richer in the quality of stress free days. Of course we died earlier and obviously did not have so many needs. Maybe in time folk will look back at our time span and wonder why folk did not have to live underground.🌺🌺

Good Morning
I spent my first years on my Grandparents' farm in the mountains of West Virginia. We had an outhouse, a coal-burning stove, and the best part was a big family. There were chickens, a storm cellar, and lots of animals that I loved. It was a good life. Then we moved to the city and I loved it too!

Kabu......
We loved going to Grandma & Grandpa's farm. We lived in the city but there was a big woods down the street and a vacant lot on three sides of our house so we had lots of fun.

Sounds like a great childhood! My dad remembered how he would visit his cousin’s’ farm for two weeks every summer . He enjoyed it.

Farming is a good life, in my opinion. My paternal grandparents owned an operating farm on the Delaware/Maryland state line, which happens to also be the Mason-Dixon line. Unfortunately, they died together in their farmhouse in January 1968, so I was too young to really get the benefits of farm life, even though a bit of it is instilled in me. I have a huge windmill in my yard, I grow vegetables and herbs, and I feed plenty of outdoor animals.
