Hm' Tell me about it. My brother is the same, I only have to make a tiny criticism and a lecture follows. Old men are by nature tetchy. It is fine when every thing is O.K.
One thing you will struggle through this remember old age is not for Wimps.
I have just done a wash and left a tissue in the drum. Now all the clothes are covered in little bits of white fluff. I suppose it will wear off eventually .Keep your chin up. 🌺

I feel your pain - er - exhaustion, my dear friend. It will get better but it is wearing on a person. Sending hugs. 🫂🤗

I Would Suggest.....
.....that every time he calls for you that you go in there singing, especially if you don't have the best voice in the world and they are not the kind of music he really likes. After a bit of happy but bad singing while you work he will gradually call you in less......whistling while you work like the seven dwarfs did would work also.

As Bearcat Mike said, hang in there. Every day there's a little improvement.

You would think there would be something you could do about his leaking legs other than soaking them up with towels. I believe my patience would wear thin with all of the round-the-clock upkeep. Hopefully, his legs will heal quickly. As for the name change...I have been there and done that. It doesn't work.

Keep on keeping on. Yes, men are usually short on patience. My wife is the one short on patience at my house. At least you know Jim's tendencies. And you had to have patience to be a nurse. Hang in there, my sister.
