Bottled water is in vogue nowadays. Luckily, in our desert capital we have had 70 % more rains than avg rainfall this year and the supplies are from Bisalpur, Jawahar sagar and Mahi dams which are now full to the brim. Rather overflowing - a record of 40 years. The water is pure but for precaution we put water purifiers and the taste too is great. The Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh is set to supply fresh water to Saudi Arabia through undersea pipelines and in exchange they will supply us with oil and petrol/ diesel through another underwater pipeline. The project will be completed by 2026.

As a long time boycotter of Nestle's, I always look at the source on the labels of bottled water: Many of the brand names are masks of Nestle's. Also, many bottled waters are simply filled at the same tap as what flows from the local kitchen sink.

I think our water comes from higher ground it is treated with something but we always filter it. Not too bad really. I did read that higher up the country it passes through three people before it hits the taps. A foreign lady we know said the best thing here is the water.
We used to have Well water, sometimes that is quite a treat but one wonders being lower down if there was a run off from the cemetery. I guess boiling water first is useful. We can at least have large bottles of ginger beer as cheap as water.

I'm a tap water kind of guy for the environment. There is definitely a place for bottled water (disaster zones, bad weather, etc.).

In your case I would use bottled water, here we have a filter container sitting in the refrigerator which gets replenished every evening in this hot weather.

Good morning
I have been following the West Coast heat wave. My parents live in Carson City, Nevada, not far from the Cali border, so I worry about them. It will be hot in Pittsburgh this afternoon, but nothing like you are experiencing. We drink bottled spring water during the hotter months. During the winter, our tap water is as cold as ice, so I'm okay with drinking from a glass of water poured from the spout. Stay cool and enjoy your day. ☕

After it has filtered through earth, through treatment plants, and other processing, the treated wastewater is as pure as any on earth. In my childhood I drank from the creek, a mountain stream that ran through cow pastures and etc., where fish swam. It was clear and cold and quenched my thirst. Don't worry.

Good Morning
Sea Gypsy, Sometimes I drink filtered water out of the fridge and sometimes I drink bottled water. I'm unsure where our water comes from in Cleveland but I hope it's not the sewer. The thought is more than what I can take. Our water company sends out flyers that say our water is safe. I hope so. I've always wanted to have those big bottles of water delivered but they are expensive.
