Re: Kabu
Helen, did you sign a contract with these people? Are you bound to them? I would gladly edit your material. I have signed two agreements with Fresh Ink Group. I only signed that I would not post a typical ebook version anywhere. I had a legal beagle friend of mine go over the seven-page agreement, and other than pointing a few things out to me, like the note that I can't self-publish the story elsewhere.
With FIG, you might pay up to $375 for a cover design for the paperback and hardcover versions. You can go over to X and make a post asking for someone to make you a cover jacket, and be prepared to be shocked. They want $750-$2500. No, thanks. My two books have cost me $575 for the new cover designs. That's it. Nothing more. They will even bring you on their weekly radio program to help you push your book across hundreds of sellers.
I have your @nrtco.net email address, but I think you have changed it again. Drop me an email at bmoc66@gmail.com
I will do this for any Blog-It-ville citizen. God has given me a talent, and I want to help my fellow/sister authors. Catch me here or use the email above. I love helping people, and if those people are authors, so much the better. It usually doesn't take me very long, but ya never know what Lisa has me doing.
God bless.

I am disappointed with my sales of my book I went through a publishing co. but they only put it up on Amazon. I could have paid you to edit it I am sure far less than they charged me and self published it.

Re: Pat
Thank you, Pat.
I have considered posting an elderly romance story here. I have one that is a bit over 20,000 words in ~18 chapters. I have to go back through it before I put it up on my Dropbox account, but while doing that, I could easily post it here.
In fact, I will. Could you give me until roughly 1 pm EST, and I'll have the first chapter up?

Congrats! Your sales are going great! I'd like to read a romance about folks over 50 - since I'm well over 50, and remember that decade fairly well, I can attest that romance happens in what I call women's Goddess Generation. Old enough to know what's what, young enough to go for the good chance. And guys are just more interesting when they're well-seasoned.
