Re: Good morning Sherri
We always had a goose for Christmas, sadly the last one was a kind of pet and we kids kept saying 'Poor old Joe. Dad said he did not enjoy his dinner at all./Â

Good morning
I have heard of goose being cooked for Christmas, but it is not something I have ever seen or eaten. I get the feeling that the family portrayed in your story were hard working farmers who relied on the crops they grew for sustenance, and the collies were the guards who used their outstanding herding instincts to keep the farm animals in line.

Nobody wants to be a soft touch, as they say. I saw a person with a pair of beautiful collies yesterday. They must take a lot of grooming. The days of yesterday were not easy.
