Re: Re: Kabu The UK was really fun to visit in the 1960's. Everything was
quality and inexpensive and big sis and I bought fine English china dinner sets for our trousseau boxes, beautiful clothes and keepsakes. Fuel was expensive but one trip Dad and I bought a car and sold it 8 months later when we flew back to Australia. lost a bit of money cos we had to sell in a hurry but I enjoyed driving it.My eldest son's wife now is using that China for family parties.

Re: Kabu
My Dad and his mate were friendly with two young gypsy girls . My Mum teased him about it at times. His Mother was what one would call gentry in those days a rich Farmer's daughter. Dad said when he visited there was a long table with fruit and cigarettes piled on dishes. The sons boozed it nearly all when the old folk passed on, my Dad was left a legacy
two hundred pounds later on at twenty one he bought a field 5 acres with the money.
Of course it is peanuts today but one could get a large bungalow built for two hundred pounds. One similar was on the market 400 thousand plus. Money loses value no longer able to get fish and chips for sixpence.🌺🌺

Good evening
We could all use a magic bean from time to time. For now, I am happy with my lucky green gemstone I found down by the creek at Raccoon Run. 🦝

It just reads like an English Gypsy woman from the days when a horse pulled their bright colored Van. I love this. I loved the proud and gentle England I knew when I was young. Still recovering from a terrible war, in London there was still so much to do; around St. Paul's Cathedral, it was all craters. Nothing, not even a war could destroy the English spirit though.
