Kabu, I wish you the very best in writing your story. I know it's going to be perfect. My laptop deletes my work too for no reason. It does get very frustrating. I really need to buy a new printer but I want one that's easy to use. I seem to have a hard time with printers. I hope you have a wonderful day.

p.s. What I meant to say about the handwritten bit - just an outline, a few notes, not the whole text. Just as insurance. I no longer can depend on my short-term memory to go back and get the details if the gremlins in the machine eat my document.

I hope you're making notes on paper to work from. Then, if your laptop messes up you'll have all the clues you need to patch it back together, and nobody's ever going to be the wiser. Still frustrating, though. Good luck.
