Re:
I’d always had an affinity for Scotland and all things Scottish and I was surprised to find my DNA showed me to be part Scot.

Re:
Thank you so much. He is one of my favorites because of his wry humor, though I have many others I enjoy as well.
hope to post again sooner rather than later.

A Bottle and Friend - the first one that comes to mind when I hear his name, although I guess Auld Lang Syng should stick in my mind more. The foster grandparents where my brother and I spent much of our childhood were Scots, and I heard the burr of his poetry when we were quite young.

Lovely to know that you can read poetry. I sometimes go on a site Poetry.
No one seems to bother to rhyme anything, I am not criticizing but it seems the
way everything is going. I think some of the old guys would have a baby.
Hope you all are O.K.🌺🌺

Good to "See" You Here
I love this post. One of my favorite things in life was to hear my mother read aloud "To A Mouse" even though she was Czech and not a Scot. Come back again soon.

Mother had a copy of Robert Burns' work on her bookshelf. She had quite the library, and most people thought she had a college education. Truth is, her stepfather forced her to quit school in 7th grade. Education, he said, was wasted on females as they were only going to keep house and raise children. Happy Birthday Bobby Burns.

Good Morning
Sea Gypsy, I always love reading your posts. I hope you have a wonderful day. Our weather has been crazy lately. First, we had extreme cold with snow and now we have rain and intense fog. Our yard looks like a muddy mess in places and in other places, it looks like a lake. Sadie went to camp yesterday because she has nowhere to run and play during this winter weather. I know it's winter in Cleveland but I would love to see some sunshine. I hope you are enjoying sunny skies!
