I think it is temerity when one looks up to others for their judgment on who we are, what we do, and even how are we. In that case, aren’t we inviting someone else to hold a mirror to us? We then become slaves to others’ opinion, don’t we? From this angle I fully agree that you ‘quoted’ message and what your parents used to tell you is perfectly right. Be your own judge 🧑⚖️ to be satisfied and rest in one’s own satisfaction; that’s the key. 🏕️🔑

I really love this Post. I seldom in life had the energy other people had and I learned not to be concerned but to do my best. I would have done better physically, and I did, during those periods in life of heightened activity so that I was fit. Somedays now though, I do well if I am out of bed.
