Re: sea gypsy
I am trying to think back to when I first came here. A lot have fallen by the wayside.
I hope you gained a little relief from the position that you and Dad were in by
your daily visits.

Good morning
I can imagine that it was a really hard time for you and your family. Anything to do with court and debts can not possibly be fun, but I'm sure that many businesses experience bankruptcy at some point due to various reasons. It is good that you have put it behind you and now feel free to talk about it without all of the emotions.

Good Evening
FSI, if I had known you back during the bankruptcy I would have told you to count to 10 put one foot in front of the other, and keep on going. It was a very bad time for so many people. I'm so thankful that you and your family made it through to the other side that you are doing good and that business is booming. I knew so many businesses that failed back then and simply closed their doors.
There was another time back in 1980 when the economy was suffering and there were so many people out of work. I remember one Friday going to the bank and there was one other person in the parking lot. I can remember the gentleman looking at me and saying we had to get people back to work. Nobody was going inside the bank. Jobs were scarce, food was expensive and families were struggling. Now I believe in 2023 we are experiencing hard times. Food is very high. The difference is that there are jobs but no one wants to work.
I have to say when there are mass layoffs, gas is sky-high, houses are expensive and families are having a hard time keeping things going, then I blame those that are in charge. It's a tough world we live in. I hope you have a good night.

The stress must have been unbearable at the time. Now in retrospect you can realize that business is business and is not a personal reflection on you or your family, especially considering the state of the economy then.

I am sorry this happened to your family and will be really interested to see how you worked your ways through such a problem. It happened to many people back through that tough time.
