I think it would have been wonderful to have a lamb. I would have enjoyed growing up on a farm. What a sweet post.

This is a sweet story. I love animals, so I understand the complexity of taming a wild animal. Blanket Sam was a lucky sheep to have you as his keeper. Animals know when a human is their best friend.

Blanket Sam is a cute name for a lamb. The year I lived on the dairy farm, there were calves born in spring. The herd was Holstein - those white and black cows - and one calf was born with a heart-shaped black patch on its forehead. I think the calves were my favorite thing about the farm.
