Land is precious probably not like it is here but seventy years ago my Dad sold building plots for £120 . Recently someone bought a house for £400,000 knocked it down and built a new one. It was probably two building plot size.

Unless you do not plan to take over once your dad retires, I am not understanding his reasons for even thinking about selling a business that is making a profit.
