It's been a while since I have seen a monarch butterfly. What majestic creatures they are.

The only time I set foot out the front door this a.m. was to put a
bit of water on an itty bitty succulent plant growing in a tiny pot that looks like a possum. Also have a pot that looks like a hippo, but that plant didn't make it so Herbie the Hippo's plant is made of plastic. The air quality is horrible today, humidity is at record high so porch sitting, even to watch the kids at the playground is not an option. Yes, they're running and yelling and sliding and swinging, even when the temp feels like 105... We're promised lovely weather by Saturday.

Our weather is much the same here. The butterflies love it just so long as they can get a drink from the bird bath.
