Interesting post. But sad for those who were forced to change their way of life...

Sadly it is not so long ago in reality. Humans tend to take advantage of anything that

will make life seem easier. One of my uncles married an Aboriginal woman, well that

was the rumour he was quite wealthy, I remember my Great Aunt trying to find out

what happened to his Estate. Of course, it was only by letter in those days and it

took a long time to suss anything out.

As a lover of history, I am fascinated to read how things were back in the day.

Hearing about your life in Australia is one of my favorite things to read here!

How people survived without interference was tough enough,

what with arid conditions and limited resources. Interesting how settlers disturbed the natural order of things - no matter what part of the world they explored.

Good afternoon

I just love that photo of the kangaroo posing for the camera. I read about the Aboriginals being forced off of their land, and the 80s hit song "Beds Are Burning," sung by Midnight Oil, touches on giving their land back to them. As for that 15" of annual rainfall, I can't imagine trying to ride a horse and buggy through the muddy ground, but those crabs sure would have been a welcome treat. Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil - Songfacts
