Yes I hope you feel like dancing. Sadly I bit on a pecan although it had been soaking in wine. Result a bit fell out of a filling £45 to have it bodged. £750 gold crown. Spring is springing.

Tommorow I'll tell you how to make a cheap mouse trap. The gadjects so called plug into an electric socket and are supposed to emit sounds that insects and vermin dislike. I don't know if it is wise to use them indoors but I use them in the greenhouses as last year little black mice kept nipping the strawberries off. I still think for mice a bit of cheese on a Little Nipper mouse trap. Always tie a piece of string to the trap and tie it to something encase the mouse drags the trap and cannot be dealt with humanely.

I don't mind pigeons in my garden, they eat all the acorns. I am surrounded by enormous oak trees, and were it not for these hefty foragers, there would be an oak forest out there.

Someone here calls me the crow Whisperer. In Canada I had them all beautifully trained not to touch any baby birds or eggs on my property.One used to whisle back a tune I sang to it. These crows here have to learn not to touch any babies born in my trees.

Funny thing about birds like magpies and crows - they have
their own rule book and don't recognize others. I hope your lettuce thrives and you can make a great salad - perhaps one with chopped apples and pecans, and a nice raspberry vinagriette dressing. Nice to see things in bloom around here - redbud trees are inviting us to the dance all over town this morning, waving their bright pink branches gently in the breeze.

Good afternoon
I have a yard full of pigeons who visit daily to get their share of the feed. They will no longer be welcome the day that they decide to peck at my small garden. As for California, the entire state is experiencing cooler temps than they are used to this time of year. My parents live close to the border of northern California and they appear to have swapped weather with us here in Pennsylvania. They had a brutal winter as to which it passed us by. These are definitely strange times.
