Reading about your grandmother's age made me think about my Dad's paternal grandfather's age. Dad thought he was born in the early 1870s. Turns out (and I learned this from Ancestry.com), he was born in 1885.

Would those DVD's be welcomed by an orphanage somewhere? Especially if they are for kids. If you still have that cleaning bug you could always come back and do that here, although it may take a month...or two...or let's estimate a year.

If you want to find your grandmother's age, perhaps you could find a
record of her on Ancestry.Com, or in the census records. Not sure if your dear grandma was an Australian citizen, born in the UK or .... or if such census records are available.

Good afternoon
We once had shelves full of those old DVDs. We got rid of all of them to make room for the newest technology. Today, my shelves are clean and clear of old technology. It's a shame that things change so fast that we can't possibly hope to keep up. I'm not a fan of anything that collects dust or is not of any use. I have learned that less is better. Maybe you can get someone to come in and get them all packed up and ready for the thrift store or the garbage bin. I am wishing you the best of luck.
