Good morning
I'm happy to hear that your kitchen is done, but it really should have encompassed your ideas and dreams; after all they were paid to do what you requested. As a creative person, I'm sure that you will adapt to the things that are not what you invisioned them to be. Have a great day.

Just the thought of remodeling anything - even replacing the
windows - gives me cold chills up my spine. However, I do plan to hire a local company to fill in the former koi pond next to my back deck. It attracts mosquitoes all summer, the ground around it is unstable & I fear standing near it because I'm not that surefooted these days, so won't be restocking it with fish. Whether to turn it into lawn, have them lay pavers and maybe a raised planter bed... kinda depends on how costly the options might be.

Congratulations on the end of the work. You both deserve it.

Now relax, the next problem will always be around the corner. So no peeping.
Well that's what I tell myself . Get back! You little rascal. I don't know how your
house was built , but houses here had wooden floors over soil. Unless one blocks the
ventilation grids up the wind whistles through and as the flooring shrinks slightly it is
more of a problem. We have underlay and thick carpets. Recent builds now have
cement bases. Older houses had slabs of stone. Be lucky.
