Good Morning
I have to say having just had my back tooth pulled I'm very thankful I didn't feel a thing. I'm also glad I had insurance. My cost was $67 and that was fine with me. I had my tooth pulled on Tuesday and it's healing nicely and I'm glad the whole ordeal is over.

Re: Good afternoon Sherri
Might work with a front tooth, some times the root grows deeply and then the string breaks. Once in the forces a dentist did not drill he used a chisel.

Re: Pat
Sadly there is now a lack of N.H dentists .Once even the cat could get a new set of chompers. I expect it would cost £150 to have a tooth pulled. Well it costs £100 just for an examination,

Re: Kabu
It did seem shortsighted not being allowed to give injections. He was a bit cheaper than most.

My father-in-law used to tell about the time his tooth hurt so bad he
couldn't stand it, he didn't have money for the dentist, so he pulled his own tooth with a pair of pliers. He didn't say whether or not he got drunk first, but knowing his habits, I'd guess that was a pretty safe bet. The good thing is the pain will go away in a short time, but there will always be sympathy and understanding when the story is told.

Good afternoon
Desperation accompanied by pain will make a man do whatever need be to eliminate that discomfort. 800 milligrams of Ibuprofen and a tooth tied with string attached from the mouth to the door knob preparing for a severe slam works for me.

I can't believe a dentist with all the cruel pain they inflict on terrified people like me wouldn't give an injection!!

I had to learn how to give IM injections long before I was a nurse. One of my sons had really bad allergies and had to have an injection every week or he could not breathe. We took him to the doctor's office for that, but when we went travelling every summer I had to give them to him whenever it was time. It was scarey at first, but I got over that.
