Yes, she was lucky. Then again, so are we to have you here with us.

Your Mother was lucky, I wonder if it was the water?.
I remember my Mother, walking across a gang plank. She said the water made her
feel giddy and she had to sit down on the plank. A man eventually helped her to
cross. It is making me feel giddy to think about it. A good job this is an imaginary
plank. Don't ever try it.

Good Morning
Kabu, I love the memories that you share. Thank goodness your Mom was saved. This must have been very scary for her.

Good morning
That had to be a really scary experience for your mother. Slip and fall accidents are no joke. They have a tendency to leave a body a bit broken and sore through the years. I am really enjoying your stories and pictures on Australia. That boat in the picture is quite extraordinary. Have a great day!

If you didn't write about Australia, all I would ever know is what I saw on the Crocodile Dundee movies years ago.

I always wanted to go there - I loved reading about the spirit of the
people - in fact my Uncle George married an Aussie woman, my dear Aunt Goldie - a Yank soldier there during WWII. I wanted to see the outback, which seemed to me like a very similar place to the old west in America during the 1800s, before those territories became states. I really enjoy your descriptions of life there.

I think I would have enjoyed a visit to 'Down Under', but it would be far too warm for me to ever want to live there.
