So sorry about the end-around from the contractor...Thankfully, my heat is holding up.

I remember when we had cupboards fitted and the man never came to put the doors
on for nearly three months. He did not charge much. I had spoken to his father and
he actually told his son to finish the job or he would turf him out. Have a nice Christmas and your sons should think how lucky they were, I don't think they would receive two thirds as much now. A very smart move I wish I had followed your instinct. The lady a space away from me put her bungalow for sale, but I am afraid it was too late the mortgage rate is beginning to push property prices down hill. Have a nice Christmas, I'll ask how much you weigh in a fortnights time. I don't count as I am sure these steroids will plump me up. Of course best wishes to Jim.

I am sorry you have had such a time with the kitchen and remodel. I hope you can stay warm there. It's terribly cold. Happy Christmas to you.

So sorry about all of the troubles with your contractor. What a mess to have to deal with. Florida family are going through the same thing. They were supposed to be done there by Christmas, but.... From what Son is telling me there is a wole lot still to be done. I hope you can have a merry Christmas anyway.

Thanks Pat and yes Jim has already had the furnace and all the electrical work checked. I leave those things to Jim cos he is an Amweican born and bred and knows what's what.

Good afternoon
This is certainly a good day to have some warm chicken soup. I bet that your house smells wonderful. As for your contractor, he really needs to get with the program. Bundle up and stay warm!

Stay warm and cozy. Tis the season for thankfulness.
About your kitchen project: I don't know if you live inside the city or in a rural area, but given the range of issues you've noticed with the workmanship, it might be a good idea for you or Jim to check on this contractor's license with the city/county officials. And to have city health and safety inspector put his stamp of approval on the job before you pay for the work. Especially with natural gas and/or electrical work, things have to meet building and safety codes and contractors must be licensed to do that work. You probably know all this, but just in case....
