It was a tough life, I suppose land was cheap and if it had water one could scrape along. I was looking at what farmers here get for milk it is ridiculous compared to what is called long life milk.

I hope the crops are good in Waga Waga. I know you must be especially sensitive to the rainfall coming from that section of Australia. It is much the same here. Enjoy your day and I hope the weather is good to you this day.

An interruption to the normal weather of the area can be a major hazard to a farmer. It's so important they get what they need.

Have a good growth of crop this year. Wagga wagga is a township in New South Wales, I believe.

Good afternoon
That is great news for Wagga Wagga. A good crop is everything right now with the high cost of groceries and everything else. Sending them blessings that all goes well with the weather.

Good Afternoon
Kabu, when I read your post about the stones it reminded me of when we lived in Arkansas. The dirt is red and there are rocks everywhere. It's hard to have a garden when the ground is all rocks. One of the larger cities in Arkansas is called Little Rock and there's definitely a reason for that. I like reading about Australia because it's all new to me.

Except for the names of the months in which spring and fall occur,
the farm schedule in North America is pretty much the same for planting, harvesting and the need for rain. Hard work and maybe some hard times, but living with nature seems to be the healthiest way. We had a bit of rain late yesterday afternoon, and there's a bigger rain coming tomorrow morning. I think "they" timed it to coincide with the day I have to get out in it to go get my flu shot and Covid booster. I grew up in the Pacific NW - a little rain won't stop me.

Rain doesn't bother me. It's the high winds and the other nasty things like hail and snow.

Good afternoon
I don't mind the rain. It's the snow that I could do without.
