Sounds like your fair is keeping up the tradition. Once we used to have a pig roast.
Years since it was a place where farmers who need more labor would be able to
choose potential workers

I hope you can see the above. It a wonderful photo of four old ladies having fun at the fair. They look like they could be my Slavic relatives .

Good Afternoon
I love all the sights and sounds at the fair. They have so many different foods to choose from when you visit the fair. Roy's favorite is the fries. He orders them every time. They used to have fun card games at the fair. You could pick a number and then the guy would spin a wheel and if it fell on your number you would win money. They have games that you play and win a goldfish. The kids love the bouncy houses and the Ferris wheel. It's not really high because it's only set up for the fair. There's face painting and in the evening there is music and dancing.

My mother won a blue ribbon at the fair once for her beautiful
crocheted lace tablecloth. It was what she did while her three rugrats were in school and it was too rainy to work in the garden.
