Re: Good Afternoon Goldiec

No we just cannot survive long without it, and of course no rain means more trouble for the disposal of waste.

Re: Taps

Yes spots before the eyes perhaps that is another sign of goodness knows what.

RePat

Yes too much heat is tiring. Once we had an oil burning stove to heat the house it left a mark or two on the ceiling  and they still show after years of Gas heating. Of course I blame the gnomes.

Re: Sea Gypsy

One always thinks of California as a delightful place. I suppose weather patterns can make a mockery of that thought. Thank you

Re: Ciel

Yes I like to stand out in a good shower, not for long though.

Re: FS

Yes perhaps one day it will be controlled, wishful thinking.

We got rain where I am at across the pond. It is needed.

If it's blood, a good soaking in Borax and ice water should fix it.

Good afternoon

Be safe! Those thunderstorms have been brutal in my neck of the woods. Lots of broken branches and flooding.

Times like these--over-heated, parched, and seeming endlessly sultry--a good thunderstorm is like a party! We had one here the other night... lots of flashes, little sound until it moved on over us, then some fine rumbles! Not much rain, but even a little is great! We have not seen much hail this summer. More, please!

Rain is necessary after the heat. Cools things down. it's been raining here at times through the heat. Very odd for here. I did enjoy your poem.

We had a gentle rain with gaps between showers that lasted the

better part of three days, only in the 70s for the high temp - about 15 below normal for this time of the year and I was so happy to welcome the kind of gloom I grew up with in the Pacific Northwest. Those steamy hot days of July and August just wear me out.  Love the poem. No doubt the mysterious dark spot was caused by gnomes.

Rain is good except when there is way too much of it.  I'm glad you got some.  Maybe you could use a little rainwater to clean your eyeglasses.

Good Afternoon

I'm so glad it rained!  What a delightful surprise.  It's been raining here all day and it rained yesterday too.  I know I will never take rain for granted again.
