Every little bit of rain blesses the green woods, the meadows, the gardens and farms! Life on the edge of the 'high desert' here...
Contentment seems rare for some of us, actual happiness even rarer. Dysthymia, as the profs call it, is that condition where one's set-point is always just below the line between Happy and Sad. That's where I live.

It must be pretty grim it does appear that extremes are with us. Of course it is a problem as we do not really recall the ancient weather patterns.

It seems the rain has all fallen in the mid-south of the USA,
flooding towns, taking out their water purification facilities, roads and electric lines and stranding folks in their cars as they try to get to higher ground. I guess we should count our lucky stars it isn't a freakin' disaster where we are. Stay safe.

How can my beautiful Green and Pleasant Land be suffering such a drought. It breaks my heart to think of you wishing for rain as you are. I have spent Summer time in England in years gone by and wished the rain would just stop! Should have known you back then dear friend.
