I think you will find Omaha winters very similar from what my sister has told me over the years.

Well I do hope it will be a mild Winter . It will be tough going for many with the fuel prices rocketing upwards. It gets harder to write as one gets older. Excuse me who are you?

Good Evening
Kabu, I'm one of the few people that love winter. We've had some winters here just like you've described. I love when we have snowstorms. My favorite time is when everyone is home, we have the fireplace on, and we are sipping on hot chocolate with cream. We sit on the couch and watch the snow coming down. The fireplace keeps us toasty warm on very cold nights. At some point, we get tired, and off to bed, we go.

That definitely looks like what it is often here...at least for a few days until the streets become a dirty mess.

Good afternoon
I would just as soon pass right over winter. I do love the vibrant colors that the Autumn brings as well as the cooler temperatures. I do not look forward to shoveling 2-3 feet of snow.

I'm with you, Kabu. Not eager for the long dark cold days of winter.
But I have thoroughly enjoyed the past week or so of mild summer weather here. We had flash floods a week or so ago in this region, and other states are getting hit with such deadly weather now. Will just take it one day at a time and hope for the best.
