In a little thrift store this morning I saw a garden figurine made to look
like a snail - it was about the size of a housecat. When I think of how we used to fight them as garden pests to keep them out, the notion of putting up a statue of one just seems too contrary. Frogs, yes of course. A turtle, okay as well. But no slugs or snails, thanks very much. I get a kick out of the jokes you and Archie pull on one another. Reminds me of my boys.
