We must never forget those days from years gone by.

Re: Kabu
Kabu for seven years I looked after my mother she was so wiry in a way and would
belt off down the road when she was well into her eighties. When she could no longer
walk, and apart for the occasional care worker I never saw hardly anyone for days.
So all I could do was enter a world of my own.

Re: Taps
When I stayed at my step grandmother's it was a delight to sink into the feather bed.
Of course goose down jackets are really warm. One of mine must be poorer because feathers keep sticking out.

Re: Good evening Sherri
My brother used to collect Musical boxes, I was not a fan but he liked listening to them.

Good evening
This is sad. Funeral services do have a way of making us think about the things that we should be grateful for that we often take for granted, like shopping for antiques.

What a read. I must tell you that I grew up with and in featherbeds and goose down pillows. My grandmother had made them in Czechoslovakia before she and grandpa came to America. She loved her geese. Every so often mom and the aunties would buy news ticking and make new featherbeds and pillows. Goose down seems to last forever if you fluff them every day when you make the beds.
