It is sad when nature gets hurt like that.

It is a problem when wild life lives close to the other lot. I expect when a clutch of
birds die the female is bewildered and has to start the process all over again. Don't
get out in the sun, it is not nice like it was when you were a toddler.

I'm remembering back to this past Winter and how you had imagined the yard to be and now I feel it has come to fruition. How wonderful. You have reminded me that I really need to water the yards. We have water issues here so many people have problems keeping up their greenery.

Good afternoon
We are having a dry spell too. I just drug out the water hose and sprayed down my veggies and flowers. I also filled up my rain barrel...just in case. That's a shame about those baby birds. I don't mind fireworks, but there is a time and a place for them.

Now I've got another reason to dislike the fireworks - It never
occurred to me the fireworks would impact birds at all. That's a shame.

We are lucky here so far. As soon as it starts getting too hot a thunderstorm happens and it cools off. Well, lucky unless it's at night and one has mommy in bed!
I feel so sad for those little birds. Fireworks were discouraged here this year and believe it or not, they didn't happen!! The whole community, even the younger set, refrained form using them!

Poor little birdies. I guess the fire cracker bangs didn't bother the gnomes at all. They are pretty hardy characters.
