I like the idea of a metal roof, particularly if it's well-anchored in
areas where there are frequent bouts of high winds. It seems a metal roof would be more resistant to moss and rot, as well as flying sparks in the event of a brush fire. Maybe those are no issue in Florida, but fire has been so much in the news lately...
