.....Octogenarian like me I meant to say.  I know that you are a whole lot younger.

That getting up of of the ground can be a big thing/problem when one is an octogenarian unless there is something nearby that is very sturdy and of the right height for using for a push up.  I'm very choosy about where I get down.

Good morning

I have found that getting off of the ground is harder than the chore itself. I now make sure to do my outdoor work with John nearby...just in case.

My new neighbor has been doing what you describe for

hours almost every day since she and her hubby moved in. She's created flower beds along the sides of the house where only lawn grew before, planted pole beans and stuck in the cane teepees for them to grow on along the back fence. Wears me out just looking at her.

Good Morning

Kabu, you've just described the perfect day.  All your plants will look so nice after watering.  Your neighbor sounds delightful.  My neighbor has a weeping cherry tree and when it blooms I marvel at its beauty.  I would really like to find one to plant in our yard but her tree is in a place where I can see it from the yard and I love that.  She has a lemon tree too but I'm not sure where we would put it.  The deer would probably eat the lemons.  She told me sometimes her lemons can be bitter though but then again she gets sweet ones too.  I'm glad you are enjoying your Spring and soon it will be summer.  We usually plant our garden on Memorial Day weekend.  It takes the whole weekend because the garden is big.  This morning I will put all the tomatoes and peppers out in the sun.  They are going to be really big by the time they are planted.  I hope you have a good day.

Oh! dear, I can feel myself ache with you, but one has to persevere. I am growing vegetables in containers this year except for beans. Any help pushing in 52 canes would be welcome.

You remind me of how much my mom loved to garden.
