I watch a lot of HGTV (Home & Garden TV Channel) and they use
a kind of Vinyl flooring that looks like wood planks, supposedly more durable, easier to clean and cheaper than wood. You may already know about it, but just in case it might be of interest, I thought I'd mention it. Wise of you to shut down your electronics when the lightning comes.
