The Oregon coast has some wonderful oyster stew, and the South Carolina coast has some wonderful roasted oysters. I don't know which I like the best.

That's so neat. In Maryland, crabs are a big deal. People love eating their crabs with mallets, consuming crabcakes and eating lots of crab dip.

Good morning
This is the crab that I grew up eating. We used to go crabbing twice a month at Port Mahon back when I was a kid. Delaware and Maryland are the best when it comes to Blue crab.

Good Morning
Kabu, thanks for sharing such an amazing post. How far did you live from the water? I do believe this is the first picture I have ever seen of a Blue Swimmer crab. I think your childhood much have been amazing. We used to ride bikes, go to the park, play Chinese jump rope and Chinese checkers but never anything like this!

I think there are blue crabs along the Washington and Oregon
coastline, too. I know there's a famous restaurant on Seattle's waterfront called Ivar's where they specialize in crabs and seafood from the northwest and I seem to remember blue crabs on the list. I loved their clam chowder. Their sign out front might be familiar to you; Keep clam and carry on.
