Pity you don't burn wood. I wondered how much cleaners charge. I hoover the stairs
and other carpets once a week and wash the floor over. I don't bother much about
dusting as once dust gets to a certain level it stays the same. Do they use
toothbrushes I never forgot that one.

Sounds like the downstairs could use some full-spectrum lighting! Have you ever seen those skylights that are long tubes up through a house to bring sky into a downstairs area?

We're experiencing a warm front with temps in the 60s. Apparently, Thursday into Friday we're going to get some sort of wintry concoction.

Living in a house while remodeling is going on is a royal pain, but
once it's all done, the appreciation level is very high. Good luck to Lord Graysome as he welcomes the new cleaners to his domain.

Kabu, I'm glad everything went good with the tree and now you will get more sunshine. I have to smile at Mr. Graysome because I know he feels like strangers are invading his space.
I've been wondering how Trish and her husband are doing? I know they miss you. I will be excited to see your kitchen when it's done. I know it will be beautiful!
Stay warm on such a cold day. I wonder if Jim is going to buy all new small appliances for the kitchen since he loves to cook so much? I was thinking maybe a food processor, new coffee maker, air fryer, crockpot, pots, and pans, and the list goes on and on. Will you have a gas or electric stove?

It's a shame that you didn't have a fireplace or a woodstove. All of those dead limbs would have made for a few cozy nights. Regardless, it's great that all went well.
