You may find something of historical significance, or something
interesting that you can use as the basis for a story, but I'm guessing what you'll find is a bunch of moldy trash that was abandonded for cause.

I have a very expensive detector that can be tuned to search for only gold, silver, nickel, and copper, the metals that most of our coinage has in it. Unfortunately, it's in a locker in Michigan. I have found several Buffalo five-cent pieces inside the house between the late 20s and early 30s. I suspect that I will find much more once I have the metal detector. I intend to have someone bring that detector down the next time a friend heads down here! I'll keep you posted on what we might find.
