One learns after sufficient lessons. Which can be a lot of the same lesson repeated, each time maybe a little stronger.

Lived it I suppose Ciel, not very exciting but becoming historical I expect. Sprained my leg yesterday did too much stock hoeing. One never learns.

Of course, let me think what one could have bought for a shilling a lardy cake 2
pence. A loaf 4 pence.The front seat in the cinema is 4 pence. Of course for another
penny, one could have a penny bar of milk chocolate. 12 pennies in a shilling. When
a drapers goods came to say three shillings and sixpence farthing one would be given
a packet of pins as farthings were being phased out.

I am so impressed at how the boy could get that old man to talk so openly. I guess he is very sad.I stayed in Yorkshire in a Terrace Cottage many years ago. I used it as my base for several months.
