Well, the real gipsies were usually found in camps as you know and made flowers and pegs. It was a job to refuse one if one was caught on the doorstep. They were really swarthy and a lot of folks would buy a few pegs to get rid of them. Now I hope you packed all necessities on your wheelbarrow, especially a spare wheel. I really think you should have used a horse and trap.

Yes, Mum always wishes her sons to marry the girl next door or one she likes.

Re: Kabu
Hi, Kabu if ever I see a nice Gypsy man I'll book your vacation in his hooped caravan. I assume that you can steer a horse on the travellers day off.

Good morning
The life of the Gypsy must have been a hard one, tinkering and doing whatever they could to make ends meet, but at least they were free.

Yes! A very readable poem. I think I will re-read it for emphasis.

very sad but I expect she fightened a young man off. You make me want to ride one of those Gypsy caravans down an English country lane during the Summer months.

Good Evening
I think one should take care when a stranger crosses their path. You never know what the consequences will be. This is the kind of thing a mother warns her son about when he is not at home.

Ah, the traveling man. We used to see traveling tinkers in the
days around WWII - guys on the road looking to do odd jobs for a meal, guys who could mend a metal pot with a tinker's dam, etc. I suppose there were romantic adventurers among them, guys who'd love 'em and leave 'em. But I was just a kid, and thought about some day piling my stuff in a wheelbarrow and setting out on the open road. (Lucky I thought about it a second time.)
