I think we got most of the south side of the house cleaned up. Lots of glass back there. I got a small cut on the side of my left hand. Nothing serious, but enough to make me check when I am due for my next tetanus shot. Fortunately, I got the last one in 2020, so I am good until 2025.
I didn't mind the cold so much, but to be honest, the main reason that made me want to move to Florida was that I had friends here and that every turn I made in Newberry, I saw Judy. Lisa knows this, and thankfully, she understands. She has the same thing with her husband Scott. Every time she goes to Lansing, she spends a day thinking about him.
We both carry our own ghosts.

There'll be a payoff for having the yard work done, perhaps a
tall, sweet lemonade. With our temp here in the midwest about 17 degrees, it wouldn't do to be without heat. Thinking a bit more seriously about becoming a "snowbird" and spending winter months in sunny Florida.
