You are probably right. I was really hurt in every aspect of my life just then, and I couldn't bring myself to write what I knew was going to happen.
I'm addressing that situation in the story I want to start posting here next. I've 'matured' after the initial loss. This next thing picks up that mess and explains it a bit better. When I first posted that book, there was no way I could have written what I am writing now.

I understand your reasoning for deleting or omitting some of the incidences but I think that it would help others dealing with dementia to fully understand the whole situation and how you coped with it.

Once in the villages a dementia sufferer would wander and call at different houses.
I suppose flashes of identity added a small bit of comfort. The world is different now.
It does take a special person to adapt to the condition of the sufferer and not feel
that one is a victim.
