Great advice.
I have found that south-facing windows are optimal for house plants that desire sun.

Good afternoon
Those gardening secrets are priceless. I research as much as I can due to my large variety of flowers and plants, but it seems like I learn something new about gardening every day. Trial and error, and prayers that you don't murder a beautiful flower along the way. (((Sigh)))

We get messages all the time in the local newspaper to plant native
things, which is a good idea. Orange or lemon trees won't make it in this area where the ground freezes at times each winter and the snow piles up. Nor do mountain foxgloves, that grew wild in the foothills where I grew up in Washington, thrive here. I think the gardening advice you adopted is working well for you.

My mom loved to garden. Our backyard growing up had a garden with quartz surrounding it. She grew lots of veggies and then planted annuals as well as perennials every spring.

Good Evening
Kabu, thanks for the tips. I don't have a green thumb but Roy does. I think he learned by watching his grandfather when he was young. I'm excited to see your gardens this coming summer. I know they will be lovely!
