Leaves need composting it ok if one has a large bin. Some leaves such as Walnut.

Wind and lots of leaves can make for quite a mess. I would remove them as well. As for me, I'm able to keep my leaves on the lawn. Not much wind where I'm at.

Sorting and pitching is my least favorite thing to do. It always takes
extra time to go through stored boxes or back room shelves as I start remembering where this or that thing came from, who brought it into the house, etc. I think it would be easier (less emotional) to sort out someone else's old stuff. It's so good for our physical self to be a little busy and for our mental self to feel necessary. I've been warming up on these chilly days raking up leaves and walnuts...

A lovely post and yes, leave do get in the way at times. Our neighbors gardener blows all the stuff in my driveway so it’s good to clear them. As for clearing out the old tools, by all means.

It appears that Mr. Graysome is somewhat of a bed hog.
Or at the very least, he is a foot warmer.

Good evening
We pile the leaves up so that our grandkids can jump into the middle of them. Then we take the leaf blower and keep them blowing around them in a swirl. It is our family's fall tradition.

I symapthize - imagine the struggle to find a comfy place with 3 huge beasts hogging the space? I wouldn't change it for a minute, nor would you, and the beasts and Graysome seem to be totally aware of this.
