Thank you for your comments. I've lost a few too many friends to suicide, and attended to the bodies of so many others who couldn't find the answer to their needs. I wish I could do more for people, but if I can help by giving them my ear and my time, I'm ready to do so.

I have known a few suicides. Sadly I don't think any of them tried to get help.
If there was any reason to stop me from ever considering such an action.
It would be the inflicting of sadness on those near and dear. You are a kind person
and I wish you well.

Re: Good evening
Thank you. I have been to so many suicide scenes that left a young person dead and a family and friends devastated. Far too many people do not know how to talk to someone bent on suicide. I've talked to too many people late at night like that, and it is a tricky game. The song by The Fray – How to Save a Life is one of the best I have ever heard about the subject.
Too many people get lost in their own battles, they never see the problems of their brothers and sisters.

Good evening
Thank you for posting this. I have written articles and poems on suicide for years. The sad part is that when they get to the point of acting it out, talking to someone is too late to stop it. Their inner turmoil is just too much for them to handle, so they figure that nobody else will understand it either. My dad committed suicide when he was 36. From all appearances he was happy, joking around, smiling, and even laughing. He was a master at hiding the deep sadness that dwelled within. It is one of the most difficult and stressful life situations that a person who is considering it will ever deal with. People become too busy to see those who are crying out for help because it comes in the form of a disguise that has a lying face that shows loved ones that everything is alright when it is anything but good.
