Sassy I did not like wearing the vests it seemed strange, but clothes were on coupons at the time and we wore shoes out like crazy spilling paraffin on them. I think the shoes were made of something not much better than cardboard.

Not long ago in terms of memory . I think they sold for about ninepence pretty

grubby as I made them between serving parifin. All my mates are bald not me it was

 the parifin my hair was black as I smoothed it back with paraffiny hands.

Well you see FS it saved cooking two things separately the potatoes were put in the pot with a piece of bacon and by all accounts was a fave by many at that time.

Good afternoon

I am not familiar with such an occupation, but so long as you were happy making potato nets, then whatever it takes to pay the bills. You are such a descriptive writer. I can almost see the coconut pipe packed full of tobacco and the photograph of the deceased wife looking at you as you are wearing her old vest. I am fairly positive that she would be o.k. with it getting some use. Have a great day!
