I use them as fire barrels, to burn scrapwood and or papers that cannot be recycled.

Good morning
Good question. Around here they are a huge part of the river life. People use them to build rafts and homemade river shanty's. I have one that I use as a rain barrel and due to this past week's weather, it is full.
