Good Morning
Kabu, I love garage sales but the problem is I have everything I need. I've been decluttering for what seems like ever but I still have more than what I need. I still think garage sales are fun though. I can't wait till your gnomes arrive on the scene. They will have a blast getting used to their new scene.

It's been a long while since I've checked out a yard sale. Their limited in my area to certain days and times of the year. I know they've increased in popularity due to shows like Pawn Stars and American Pickers.

Nebraska, like Illinois, is due for more uncomfortably hot weather
before the reliable autumn cooldown around the first of October. There will likely also be thunderstorms at times. Mornings can be tolerable for getting out and doing work in the yard. Have you noticed people walking their dogs? We get quite a lot of that in this little town.

It takes a bit of practice going out and about in a new place but you are doing marvelously well. Soon you will know all of the streets and shops quite well. I am glad the A/C works well there.

Dear Kabu
In a short while you'll get accustomed to the place which then will appeal to you as the one you have always longed for

It sounds as though you are adapting well. Good for you. In no time you will find your way around like a pro.

It takes a while to get 'home' in a new place. I noticed it when I was driving around the Springs, and realized I was looking to the horizons instead of just studying the streets and intersections and trying to get the map in my head! I guess it's a kind of internal GPS.
