I have seen it somewhere Pat. Maybe it was on the radio once. We want it a bit
more than that. I once heard three men talking one was my Father they were all
about 56 and were saying in ten years time we can retire and get a pension.
Not one of them made it.

I like both poems. I'm with you that being a shepherd and riding herd
on a flock of sheep could be less than fun - but there's something to be learned.
As for the meaning of life - Did you ever read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy" as you travelled life's highways and byways? In that book Douglass Adams says the meaning of life is 42. I like your response - keeping others in mind - rather than just asking for things.

Yes the poem is very OK and that job...eeks I can imagine what I would say if someone had offered a job like that to one of my boys. They both worked as teenages but not in a job like that.

Good afternoon
These are great points to ponder. The meaning of life is quickly losing value. It was once such an easy question to answer as to what it all means. Now I haven't got a clue. The constant upheaval from opposing sides has turned our world into chaos.
